Sourabh Pahuja
I am serving as a junior consultant and clinical assistant professor in Dept. of Pulmonary Medicine at one of the largest teaching hospitals in the country. My research is focused primarily on Bronchiectasis, COPD and Sarcoidosis. I am working as a budding interventional pulmonologist with keen interest in Bronchiectasis. I run a special clinic for Obstructive airway disease (OAD) patients. My special area of interest is role of smoking, pollution and biomass fuel exposure on lung health specially in developing COPD and associated bronchiectasis. My current work includes teaching undergraduate medical students, training fellows in OAD management and engaging in clinical practice. I have published several articles in national and international journals of repute and presented my findings at multiple forums and national meetings.

My broad research interests revolve around bacterial infectious disease, particularly enhancing disease monitoring, method validation, and alternative solutions for antimicrobial resistance. My undergraduate and PhD studies focussed on infectious lameness of livestock, whilst my post-doctoral research has allowed me to transition into human respiratory disease. I currently work as a post-doctoral research associate at the University of Liverpool, validating postal sputum sampling for monitoring Pseudomonas aeruginosa in patients living with bronchiectasis.
