THE EUROPEAN (NTM &) BRONCHIECTASIS WORKSHOP <\/strong><\/h3>\n

The European NTM & Bronchiectasis Workshop\u2019s first edition was organized in July 2019 and since then it\u00a0became a biennial tradition<\/strong>\u00a0among the\u00a0small but very committed world community of scientists<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0experts in the field.<\/strong>\u00a0The community met also virtually in July 2021 and will meet again in February 2023<\/strong>\u00a0to exchange and\u00a0learn about<\/strong>\u00a0the novelties in\u00a0diagnosis, management and treatment focused on Bronchiectasis, a complex pathology<\/strong>\u00a0which is still often misdiagnosed and even more often overlooked.<\/p>\n

The \u201cconcept\u201d of the Workshop is to spread the knowledge in regards to the European Respiratory Medicine, Infectious Diseases and related Specialists, enhance the understanding of the\u00a0physiopathology, epidemiology and management\u00a0<\/strong>outcomes and attract attention to the need to\u00a0share knowledge<\/strong>\u00a0and especially experience<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0demand for further research<\/strong>\u00a0emerges.<\/p>\n

The focus is on the \u201chot topics<\/strong>\u201d of the moment and the suggestion of the attendees, as this Workshop series is a place to\u00a0get updates, acquire new knowledge, learn new approaches<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0discover new insights<\/strong>\u00a0to be immediately applicable in daily clinical practice.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0main target<\/strong>\u00a0is the Specialists in\u00a0Respiratory Medicines, Infectious Diseases<\/strong>, Internal Medicine, Microbiologists, Paediatricians and Radiologist, but also other specialists as well as trained nurses and physiotherapists\u00a0<\/strong>can benefit from the active learning structure of the Workshop.<\/p>\n

Every personal experience is enriched by the exchange between generations, different cultures, clinical approaches and various national health systems and some of the valuable relationships that occurred during the conference last over years.<\/p>\n

In this environment, the Workshop\u00a0gives the opportunity to young doctors, researchers and clinicians<\/strong>\u00a0to participate in\u00a0Young Generation<\/strong>\u00a0initiatives such as the \u201cRising Stars Programme<\/strong>\u201d, the \u201cCall for Oral Presentations and Abstracts<\/strong>\u201d or the \u201cJunior Professionals Call for Proposals<\/strong>\u201d. These programs aim to help the next generation of these specific fields to\u00a0boost their career<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0receive personal feedback<\/strong>\u00a0from the\u00a0Presidents and Chairmen and also from the audience. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Joining forces, exchanging clinical experiences, sharing data and tools, to enforce the network of active experts in the field are the main goals of the Workshop.<\/p>\n

Also, these first three editions (2019-2021-2023) would like to be the launch of a long series of training events, necessary for such a growing field full of future promise and horizons in research and clinical progress in the management of the diseases involved.<\/p>\n

About EBROW & RTI 2027<\/strong><\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]The European Bronchiectasis Workshop (EBROW) has evolved significantly since its inception. The first edition took place in Vienna, the second was held entirely online, and the third was hosted in Milan, with each edition attracting a growing international community.<\/p>\n

In recent years, the bronchiectasis field has seen important advances, including a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms, growing epidemiological insights from international registries, and promising clinical studies that may contribute to new therapeutic approaches.<\/p>\n

Following the fourth edition of EBROW in Paris, we are delighted by the strong interest the meeting continues to generate among healthcare professionals and patients. The 2025 edition welcomed a record 480 participants, including 284 onsite and 196 virtual attendees, with 73 international speakers contributing to the programme.<\/p>\n

For many years, RTI International Forum and the EBROW (European Bronchiectasis Workshop) have provided separate platforms for specialists in bronchiectasis and respiratory tract infections.<\/p>\n

As bronchiectasis and respiratory tract infections are increasingly interconnected, with shared challenges and opportunities across research, diagnosis and treatment, it feels like a natural evolution to bring EBROW and RTI Forum together.<\/p>\n
